Acacia House is a private Nursing Home which joined the Contemplation Homes Group in December 2003.

Registration: 27 male and female residents aged 55+

We are not registered to admit elderly mentally ill patients unless their nursing needs outweigh their mental health needs. Assessment prior to admission is essential to ensure that the patient is placed appropriately.

Bedrooms: 23 single bedrooms (11 en-suite)

2 shared rooms.

Bathing: 3 shared bathrooms,

2 with specialised height adjustable Parker baths.

The bedrooms are equipped and decorated to a high standard and we encourage our residents to bring in personal items such as ornaments and photographs to enable them to feel completely at home. Families can install personal televisions and telephones as they wish.

There is a large lounge, separate dining room and large conservatory overlooking the garden for residents and their families to use.

There is a large, attractive, well-established garden for the residents to enjoy during fine weather. Residents often have their coffee and tea sitting in the garden with their families.

There is ample room for car parking in the grounds

The Matron, Mrs. Linda Murray, is a Registered General Nurse and is registered with the Commission for Social Care Inspection as the Manager of Acacia House. Linda can be contacted at the Home and has the day to day responsibility for the running of the Home.
